Carlingford Trip.

Waking up early on Monday morning, we were all really excited for the trip. We had a 2-hour long bus journey to the Carlingford Adventure Center.                   I was sharing a room with my 5 other friends and it was really nice.

Our first activity in Group B was kayaking. It was really tiring because there is only two people in the boat but it was a lot of fun. Each activity took about 2-3 hours long.
After that, we had chips, sausages and beans for lunch.

My favorite activity was the laser tag, which we had after lunch.                         We were given camouflage overalls to wear and the instructors gave us guns and headsets. We had to walk up the mountain, which was tiring, and played laser tag in the forest. We split up into two teams and played games like Capture the Flag

Our last activity was a night hike up the mountains. We left around 7 o'clock and walked back up the where the laser tag was held. We were given blindfolds and were guided around the forest by the person in front and a small rope beside us. It was good fun.

At night, there was a disco held upstairs for both schools there. We all had great fun dancing around and screaming along to the songs, it went on till after 11 at night. We went back to our rooms at around 12 and talked for a while. I was so tired after all our activities that day.

The next morning, I think almost everybody was sick with a cold from the water sports the morning before! We had cereal or toast for breakfast with tea.

My group went on the Canadian canoes for the morning. These were three canoes held side by side by a wooden plank running through them. We canoed out to this platoon in the middle of the water and were jumping off it into the water. It was so much colder than I expected it to be! Then we took turns in taking the powerboat over to a trampoline in the middle of the water.
Going back to the changing rooms, we all had really long and badly needed hot showers

After a lunch of chips and sausages, we went to a challenge course about 40 minutes away from the centre. We split up into teams and had to complete a lot of team-building challenges in order to win little tokens at the end. All of the challenges required team-work in order to win.

After coming back from the course, we finished packing all of our stuff and sat outside in the courtyard, talking and waiting for the bus to arrive. We were all sad to be leaving but couldn't wait to go home and catch up on sleep. The bus home took about 2 hours or more and I slept the whole way home.

I really enjoyed myself on this trip :)
